A conversation with the Boston Globe’s former ‘Spotlight’ editor

Walter “Robby” Robinson ran the Spotlight investigative unit of the Boston Globe newspaper in 2002 when it took up the story of how priests sexually abused children in the Boston area and how the powerful Cardinal Bernard Law, archbishop of the Boston archdiocese, helped keep the carnage quiet.

This work of reportage was honoured with a Pulitzer Prize. It was also turned into a movie called Spotlight, which is up for 6 Academy Awards when the Oscars are handed out on Feb. 28 (Michael Keaton played Robinson).

Robinson spoke with Michael Enright, host of CBC Radio’s The Sunday Edition.
